Six Tuners between two HDHR Primes, "All Tuners In Use"

Six Tuners between two HDHR Primes, "All Tuners In Use", and only three things are recording.

I did have HDHomerun DVR service running, and thought it may have been consuming the other three tuners... It was running on the same windows server that now has Channels DVR installed. I uninstalled HDHomerun software on that server, and still am getting this "All Tuners are in Use" when attempting to view a live channel in Channels DVR on my nVidia Shield.

Any idea how to determine what is taking up the other three tuners, if Channels DVR is not doing so?

I rebooted the Shield, and it made no difference.

thank you,
Stephen

Using a web browser, go to the ip address of each prime and check tuner status
http://ip.of.prime.#1/tuners.html
http://ip.of.prime.#2/tuners.html
or look at their log file
http://ip.of.prime.#1/log.html
http://ip.of.prime.#2/log.html

If you don't know the ip address of your two primes you can just go to http://my.hdhomerun.com/

Check the DVR web UI to make sure both HDHR has guide data attached

Also check to make sure that the channel that you are trying to watch is available on both Primes. That happened to me and it turned out that one Prime didn’t show that channel as available. I rescanned on both Primes and the issues was resolved.

ChDVRuser,
thanks for the tip, I'd been to those screen in the past, as had these Primes for awhile, didn't think to go there to see the status.

I'm still seeing scenarios where I've got no Tuners available, when I don't think it should be so. Being able to check the status will help find out what's recording by Channel (I wish it would tell me the Channel and the Show, but that's an issue for Silicondust to deal with.

I've also moved my two HDHomerun Primes back to the entertainment center "Front and Center" so I can see the six LED lights (3 per tuner) and see at a quick glance how many tuners are in use.

I need to figure out how to copy the Logs from the SD HDhomerun Primes, to my server, if that can be done. I'd like to keep a running log for my tuners, so I can refer back to them as needed. Keeping a 2 to 4 weeks of logs.

Thanks again,
Stephen

Both tuners are showing properly., thanks,

You can access the logs from http://IPADDRESS/log.html

I used to have a cronjob that would pull the logs, parse them a bit, and then move them into folder for easier access.
