I have a Playon recorded TV show (from Hulu) Import that will not allow commercial skip or fast forward while viewing in Channels DVR. Are there any client or server settings that should be set to allow the skip forward or backward functionality? I've played around with the settings, but so far nothing works. The skip function is working with other Playon recordings, so curious if there is a fix within Channels. I've tried 2 clients, fire stick 4k and Apple tv 4k. Server is win10 pro.
It should work with everything. What happens when you try to skip, exactly?
Absolutely nothing happens when I try to skip. Tried using the right directional arrow and using the fast forward button on the Fire tv remote. I only just setup the Apple TV and I'm still trying to figure that out. Using either button on these imports does nothing.
After submitting the question this evening, I tried another recent recording from Imdb and saw a pop up box in the lower right corner with the Next Episode number that would not go away. Hitting the right directional arrow causes the next episode to play and marks the current one as fully Watched. This happened using the Apple.
These videos work when watching thru the Playon Roku app.
If it works with other PlayOn recordings it must be some issue with that specific recording.

Silly question but do you see the commercial markings on the progress bar? Obvi it wouldn't skip if the show shows not commercial segments.
I've not used dropbox before but will give it a shot in a little later. It could very well be something that Playon changed. But this happened not long after the back button navigation changed slightly with channels. So I thought this might be a change with channels.
Previously when watching live TV from the guide, I could hit the back button 2x to get to the left menu. Now, the 2nd back button press does nothing. First back press goes to the guide, then I have to navigate to the top or toward the top before the back button activates and goes to the menu. Thought the changes might have been connected. But I will send the playon file.

But I should be able to fast forward even if there are no commercial markers. And that doesn't work. The files work in the Playon media player.
File has been sent. This was the shorter one. No commercial markers on this one, but still cannot skip forward or fast forward while viewing in the channels app. In playon's media player I still do not see commercial markers, but I am able to fast forward in the video
Are the problem recordings 1080p from PlayOn Cloud?
I know those use variable framerate HEVC recording.
They are from playon desktop - which I know is EOL. The Hulu recordings were made a week or 2 before hulu stopped working. The Amazon recording was made a couple of days ago.
