Sleep not working when DVR is enabled on mac

If I disable (not uninstall) the DVR feature through the web panel, the Mac sleeps and stays asleep. When DVR is enabled, only the screen goes black - computer is definitely not sleeping

Any ideas?

It's working as it is suppose to. The DVR can't record if the computer is sleeping.

But then why is there an auto-wake helper App that channels DVR came out with? It is supposed to wake up the computer when it’s time to record.

With or without that app, the computer never sleeps

Does the Activity section of the DVR web UI show anything happening?

No, it just shows “Idle”

Nothing is scheduled to record

I have the same issue on windows 8.1. I think this only started happening since the latest dvr server update on 8.19, before that no issues going to sleep.

Does anyone having the problem have Local content enabled?

Local Content Beta Import your existing media library into the DVR

If so, be aware the DVR will scan in the background every 5 minutes to see if new movies have been added.
