Hi, everyone. I am trying to transcode channels to use less bandwidth on my computer but it seems this feature isn't working. Is there something I should do in order to make it work?
I just changed the option to 720p @ 3mbps and set DeInterlacer to linear and adaptive stream to off.
Or this feature only works with remote usage?

The resolution/bitrate settings in the web UI are only for access using the web UI. Resolution/bitrate settings for transcoding to clients is set on the client itself.
It's working, racameron. I just wasn't noticing. I reduced the quality to the lowest and then noticed it's indeed working.

If you are viewing things on your local network, u don't need transcodeing.
U have plenty of local network bandwidth and no data cap to worry about.
Transcoding is cpu intensive, so it will put heavy load on the DVR server device.
If u have multiple clients who all need transcoding, u woudl need a powerful cpu to keep up.
If you are viewing things remotely, then using transcoding can reduce the amount of data that is being sent over your internet connection WAN side to your remote device. Good for if the remote device, like a smartphone, is on a capped internet connection, like some LTE mobile data plans etc.
