Some stations did not record correctly today

Some of the channels I have set to record on a TVE channel defaulted back to the OTA channel. Only correlation I see of change is 2020.12.02.1531 was installed. I believe the channels that are defaulted back to OTA are the ones I had to have overrides on for that very reason.

Anything thoughts?

Ok, just found more info. TVE with spectrum and channel that is defaulting back to OTA has an 'unimplemented channel' message as of today. Tried to rescan the channel (6001 - ABC:WISN) and same message

What does that mean when you say defaulting or defaulted back to an OTA channel?
Is it a Series Pass you set to record from a specific TVE channel and it recorded from an OTA channel instead?

What overrides?

Also, the Channels DVR web UI has one set of device (tuner) priorities and channel favorites and each Channels DVR client has it's own set of device (tuner) priorities and channel favorites. I know that's confusing, but the way it is. The Channels DVR web UI device (tuner) priorities and channel favorites decide which device and channel something is recorded from.

The way I have my setup is where both a local channel is shown through a HDHR and a TVE channel through spectrum. When I defined my series pass, it shows it is recording both channels in the guide but really is really executed only on the OTA channel. The OTA channel is flaky so I'd rather record from the TVE channel and set the recordings to be forced from the TVE channel.

In any case, since I found that the actual TVE channel is not working anymore, I believe that is the culprit.

And yes, I understand that the DVR has one priority and clients have their own. No priorities have changed and every thing had been working fine for months.

Easiest way is to modify the Series pass to only record from the TVE channel.
Problem is if your TVE channel can't record the program, it will continue trying it until it times out and the show is over.
Would be nice if TVE fails, try OTA, but doesn't work that way currently.

Ok. But the real problem is now to understand why I lost my abc channel. Just hit rescan channels in the TVE source and ABC will not come back. Totally gone from the list now

Ah, okay, different issue for maybe a different post.
I NEVER rescan all of my TVE channels or delete and reinstall my TVE source. I always rescan a single channel at a time if I have issues. I learned the hard way, I have Xfinity for a provider.

As I mentioned earlier, I did try to rescan the single channel first. Next step is to kill it and readd.. takes a few days to get all the channels back but oh well

Ah, I see you did the single channel rescan.

Spectrum changed their website, so the DVR had to be updated to handle it. Upgrade to the latest pre-release version and try re-scanning the channels. If that doesn’t work you may have to remove and re-add the spectrum source.

Saw that from the other threads. Tried and am already on 2020.12.02.1531. No other pre/beta release available that I can grab AFAIK

In that case I would recommend submitting diagnostics from the DVR server and follow up via e-mail to see if the Devs can take a look.
