Sony Remote DVR Button Mapping

Hey all,

I didn't see an answer to this so figured it was worth the ask. I'd like to learn more about what's possible with controlling the buttons from the remote that came with my Sony Bravia TV. The main example I'm looking at is the DVR button. I'm assuming this button is meant to be used with cable box but was curious if there was a way to make this bring up the Channels app instead? When press the button is prompts me to setup a cable box and says it's powered by something called QuickSet by UEI. Is that something that can be leveraged by Channels to open up the Channels library instead of the DVR that with the cable box?

When I’m using AppleTV as the input source, the DVR button on my Sony remote launches AppleTV+.

Yeah same here, it’s the ‘TV’ button which you can set to Home Screen or the Apple TV+ app.
It also can bring up the app switcher and control centre.

Possibly need to adjust the Apple TV settings to enable ‘TV Control’ and enable the Sony HDMI CEC settings too. If you set the Sony TV to allow ‘Tuning Keys’ you can also use the number pad to tune channels.
