I would like this as well. I have recorded almost every law and order episode and sometimes it takes me an hour to scan through to find the episode that recorded. I’d love to have this option to switch over to when I’m looking for the newest records episode.
Amandap: Seems like you are talking about sorting episodes v. sorting passes? Separate topic?
I’m talking about episodes (I don’t know how I missed the word “pass” in the title) in the DVR. I have all 27 seasons worth of episodes and occasionally an episode I don’t have will record and I have to just scan each episode until I find one that don’t have the green bar on it. I like the episodes sorted in the order they originally aired normally but if we had a option to sort per the newest episode recorded it would allow you to find the 1 random episode that recorded.
Like right now I’m having trouble because the air date (not the original air date but the current date and time) and time has been removed from the episodes and I I also use that info to track things that’s recorded. I’m praying they put the date and time back soon.
@Amandap We here ya and understand. This request is pretty niche and there's no current capacity or UI for sorting episode presentation in the view though. It's the first time in a decade we've heard it to be honest.
But we'll take note of it and consider it in the future!
Ok thanks. The sorting thing isn’t as important as the current date and time stamp on the DVR episodes when they record. I’m sure it was removed to make things look nicer but I utilize that daily. Hoping it can be added back.
One thing I do is go to the DVR web UI DVR > Manage > Shows
I filter to the specific show and sort by date added
You can then sort ascending or descending
@Amandap is that what you're talking about, or are you looking at them from a Channels client?
In the client. Like I would go to tv shows (I call this the DVR section) then I’d long press on the Tracker tile, the little menu would pop up and under manage or something there would be an option to sort by date added. Like I mentioned before I have almost every episode of law and order and for everyday use I like that their sorted in the order they originally aired but some episodes are glitchy or fuzzy so I’m currently re-recording most of them and when ya have 400 episodes and 1 single episode recorded it would be nice to be able to bring that 1 episode to the front of the line by sorting them by date added. But like I say this is no where near as big a deal to me as the record dates being on the episodes, I utilize that sooooo much more and really would like to see that put back or even just an option in the setting for us to add it back, maybe it’s useless to some and helpful to some so maybe it being an option would be better, either way as long as it’s available, for me it’s a huge tool that helps me sort and find stuff I’m needing.
