I'm new to channels. loving it so far. my personal media is stored on volume 1 of my synology nas. the file path is something like volume1/homes/myname/video. but when I set-up that folder as a source, it only opens up volume1 to show me the various folders there. when I click on the "homes" folder, it adds it to the system as a source.
I've tried all the icons/buttons in that ui, including the 'path' icon and the green 'add folder' button. nothing works.
On a Synology NAS, Channels DVR runs as the system internal user channels
You need to give that user permission to the folder

Just be aware that you can delete those import files from within Channels DVR and they get deleted from your NAS. You can give the user channels read only access to your import folder to prevent it from deleting them.
