This seems to be live watching only. The saved file (if recorded) doesn't seem to have any artifacts in it.
Any ideas?

Perhaps try the current (20220203) firmware?
Atsc 3 source? I tried to watch the superbowl on atsc3 and there were so many artifacts I had to fall back to atsc1
It wouldn't have made much of a difference, since NBC chose to not broadcast in 4K on any platform. So it wouldn't have really mattered, and ATSC3 would have given you no real benefit, other than incompatibilities with its poorly supported AC-4 audio and TTML subtitles ...
It's 1080p 60fps. Sometimes you luck out and the feed looks better than 1080i 30fps
I've noticed same. It's interesting that you have noticed that recordings seem to be fine - i rarely record ATSC3, so i've missed that so far. Good catch!
Any corresponding messages in your DVR log? Might be worth sending diags on, so the devs can see if the client is yacking on something.
Also - would be interesting if the SiliconDust client works better.
Had weather, family health issues, haven't watched any live TV since "the big game". I updated the firmware, though. I'll try to find something sports-likes with lots of motion (seemed to be a trigger) to see what I observe.
