Is there a way in the ChannelsDVR to set a custom label for items in specific folders? For example, if I dump adult content in an adult folder configured within my Movies library, can it sort in a collection that way, as so I don't have to apply "Adult" to every new movie added in that folder.
Are you talking about a folder on your computer? So you'd create a folder called "Adult" and you would like Channels to auto-label everything in that folder with something based on being in that folder? This would be similar to how when you import a Stream Link, it lists the service it is from as a metadata label?
You are not talking about putting labels on Library Collections (which you can do right now) and excluding content based upon that label from appearing on certain devices (which you can do right now)?
I think it's a combination of the two. I want to create a collection, let's call it Adult - and it is hidden, it's tied to a folder on the NAS, called "Shrimp" - then, anything that lands in that folder is auto-categorized within this collection.
Not currently but it's been requested before and on our radar (auto labels for local content folders)
Outstanding! Thanks so much! I will await the feature, and do manual manipulation til then. I don't have that much yet, but the collection may grow
Maybe I'm missing something but I already do this. Using your example, I have a folder called Shrimp that is set as a video source in Settlings-->Local Content. I drop whatever content I want into this folder and it gets imported. Then in Library-->Videos-->Shrimp I set the label to "Hide".
Then in the Clients menu on the web UI, I select the client that I want to change the Server Side Only -> Content Block List. Then select the "Hide" label. When that is selected, the Shrimp folder videos do not show up as visible on that client UI.
