Spectrum channels on Apple TV

Its weird because I can watch my spectrum channels using the DVR guide on PC just fine, but trying to stream on the Apple tv app the spectrum channels are saying not authorized. Not sure whats going on.

Are you referring to TVE channels using Spectrum as a provider? If so, you’re saying that you can stream a channel fine on the web interface, but the same channel won’t play on the Apple TV? Logs from the DVR server of both the working and non-working case would be helpful.

It’s showing there was already a connection open to Disney Jr. did you already have a recording going or another client streaming it? The error shows a connection timeout, which I think implies the server stopped hearing from the client. I think the first step is understanding why it thinks there is already an existing connection.

Its as if the channels DVR apple tv app is confused about what is actually on my DVR settings. For example, when I open storage under settings on the apple tv app its saying 33% used on Disk. When I open my DVR settings on PC its telling me 55.6% remaining used on Disk. Miscommunication

No new Logs when I try to stream from Apple TV.

Do you have more than one DVR installed on your network?

No, but I did have an previous channels account and had to make a new account. Been using the new account for months now but it seems like the Channels DVR apple app is gathering old information. I've deleted the apple app twice but still the same. Same PC

There's some kind of network/internet issue. If you're using a VPN or SmartDNS that can cause problems. If you're running Windows 7, that can also cause problems.

Yes. DNS. Windows 10

Would it help if I use the Connect At Home option? I just don't know how to enter the local network IP address assigned to the PC/NAS the the DVR server is running on.

What IP is shown under Bonjour on the DVR web UI on your PC?

What IP is shown on the Settings tab of the Channels app at the top left by the logo?

Bonjour Advertising dvr-desktop-2h0i724.local. via 2 networks: [10.19.0.13, 192.168.1.243]

channels plus Apple app192.168.1.243

Looks like its connected to the right place then.

What does this mean? If you're using SmartDNS then that is the problem.
