Spectrum old log in

so I use to have spectrum when I was at my old house and my roommate had a account but I have since moved and set up service at my new place but when I try to get up the tv anywhere it keeps truing to log in to my old account. I tried logging in to a different browser and even opening an incognito window but still going to old account. is there any way to fix this?

Delete that source. Re-add using your username & password.

After you delete the source, reboot the server, then add new source.

The source has not been there for a good year or two, so there’s nothing to delete. I just completely rebuilt my server, removed all the old data, so there’s nothing there, but for some reason it keeps hanging on to that old email address. I tried doing it in a private window, anything I can think of, and it’s still trying to sign me into the old account

So when adding the source, you don’t get this screen that allows you to put your user and password info.

Well I got past that screen but now I get a unauthorized error message

Just a heads-up about that log-in page:

I have a Spectrum account, and my user name and PW are synced over iCloud.

Note it asks for user name on that pop-up, and my user name is my ten-digit phone number, so I entered that, but it repeatedly failed.

Instead, its safest to use whatever your assigned user name is, but add on the @spectrum.net at the end to make it in the form of a Spectrum e-mail addy (they use that email address to ID you, even if you don't use it as your personal email account).

Spectrum customers log in on their Spectrum apps with their 10-digit phone number as their user name, but apparently Spectrum will automatically append the @spectrum.net at the end if its missing.

Entering only my user name (ie my 10-digit phone number) was a cause of my authentication error and adding the extra bit at the end resolved it for me, so check how your Spectrum credentials are stored in your keychain to make sure its in the form of an email address (apparently Spectrum doesn't appreciate their servers being hit repeatedly with requests, as Channels DVR must repeat it if it fails, making Spectrum think they're under a DOS bot attack).
