Spectrum TVE Stops at "Verifying login on Spectrum"

Hi, I've been using Channels DVR with TVE for a while now. No issues till yesterday. TVE stopped functioning on unraid verion 6.9.1, Channels DVR 2021.03.14.0324. After several tries at rescanning, I deleted the source and when trying to re install I get the "Verifying login on Spectrum" with spinning circle, but it never advances from there. So I setup a windows DVR on a different machine and the TVE setup properly and the Channels can tune the stations. So my logins are good. Also, when I get the "Verifying login on Spectrum", the cpu's start pegging. I'm not very proficient at unraid. Not sure where to find the log files.

Any ideas?

Bobby

Please click Support > Troubleshooting > Submit Diagnostics from the dvr web UI when you notice the CPU issue

Thank You. Logs submitted bb85d7de-f4d5-40f2-b220-c7e0cef1f853. While the sub menu for Verifying login on Spectrum still up and spinning.

Have you tried shutting down the docker and restarting it?

Yes. Including shutting down/restarting unraid and starting only Channels.

The HDHR tuners as well as the Pluto TV are working fine. Could it be a corrupted file within appdata that's borking TVE? If I remove and the re install Channels DVR within unraid would it re write over the pertinent TVE files? And would it pick up on the existing database of recordings and movies?

So I removed the channels container and deleted all its previous folders in appdata and the shares., Then re installed. Same issue. TVE setup stalls. Sent log file cac8180a-4c47-4d52-91b7-dfd40e4cdad7 .It appears to stop after these lines:

2021/03/17 03:16:57.444212 [TVE] action=wait_for_auth
2021/03/17 03:17:27.444620 [TVE] action=auth_timed_out
2021/03/17 03:17:27.444908 [TVE] action=screenshot

Yet the windows version installs TVE no problem.??

Just to experiment I tried a couple different providers, which after a moment did come back with failures as expected. That would suggest a Spectrum specific problem, however it did work on the windows version. Odd. I did upgrade to 2021.03.16.2236. Same.

What about the versions of Chrome/Chromium? Are those identical between tests, too? (Authentication for TVE streams is handled separately by Chrome, rather than directly by Channels, AIUI.)

I am running Chrome. I also tried microsoft edge. Same. Should I try another. Chromium or Firefox?

No, I meant is the Chrome version used for Unraid and Windows the same.

Also, what about moving the DVR to Windows (via a restore), setting up the TVE there, then migrating it back to Unraid after TVE is setup?

Yes. Chrome versions are the same. I'll try the migration trick tonight. Thx.

I'm having the same issue running on the "tve" version of the docker container on version 2021.03.23.0106.

When adding the Spectrum TVE source, I get the message: "Verifying login on Spectrum." This occurs indefinitely.

Try docker pull to update the image

Figured it out. Disabling my Pi-hole ad blocker fixed the problem. Although I can’t figure out which URL caused the problem.
