Spectrum

How is it stupid if it doesn’t update. Can you read?

Long click (click and hold) or shift+click on the check for update button in the web ui.

He wasn’t even talking to you...

You need to click and hold the update button to get the pre-release version.

Updated to 2020.11.26.0632 early this morning. That fixed it. Spectrum TVE is working again.

A timely Thank you.

Upgraded to 2020.11.26.0632 and just tried HGTV (even restarted the server since the upgrade), getting the same error:

Authentication works, but many stations that I used to have now show "notAuthorized", like HGTV, Animal Planet, Food, TLC, DIY, etc. So better, but not yet back to before.

So, I updated to 2020.11.26.2332, and still saw the "authz retries" error and "illegal invocation" error. I deleted Spectrum as a source and re-added. It seemed to take longer to scan, but everything came back, except the same group of channels that errors with this:

"403 You've exceeded the maximum number of streaming sessions. To watch this program, sign out of one of your other sessions, and try again.: stream limit reached"

But, going back to re-scan these channels over the next couple days has worked in the past.

Thanks to the guys at Channels for getting this update out on Thanksgiving!!!!

Attempted again this morning, and individual retries do work until the stream limit is hit. It appears to be 'back to normal'. Thank you to the Channels team for a very quick response.

That is most likely the Discovery network group of channels. I can only get about 2-3 per hour to authorize. The one downside to needing to re add Spectrum.

For sure, those channels have been that way since the beginning. Not a huge deal for me, as there are only 1 or 2 channels out of that group, that I typically watch.

Thank you. That worked...

I had to do a factory reset on my 2015 Nvidia Shield TV 3 days ago. I don't recall any Spectrum issues at the time. Now I can't login to Spectrum on the Shield TV. Xfinity and Locast work just fine, but no Spectrum. I didn't come here until just now (12/2, 9am MST).

I decided to try my PC to record something via Xfinity (Xfinity is set as my first priority provider) or Spectrum last night instead of Locast because Locast looks good but the bitrate is lower on Locast channels. Anyways, ABC wouldn't record, so I used Locast feed. After the recording was finished I decided to poke around in the settings. After setting some favorites in Spectrum and switching my guide to Favorites, I noticed I couldn't watch ANY Spectrum channels. This has brought me here. I decided to remove Spectrum as a source and then re-add it. Now I am getting this error: "no login form found". Any advice?

That is just a static image that won't let me add my login credentials. Hopefully it's obvious that I still can't add Spectrum as a source to my Shield TV either.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you. I wasn't aware of the long press. Now hopefully it will let me re-add Spectrum as a source.
