Spinning buffering circle with playing local content

The last couple days, i start to play a local video file on my Apple TV, it will play for a short time, the stop, and the spinning circle buffering icon come sup, and it just stays that way. I back out of the video and try to tplay it again, same, will not play unless i force close the app. If i try to p lay a different video, it takes several seconds of buffering to start playing.

I submitted diags from the app.

App. beta 12.1.204
Server: 2024.11.30.2318

I do not see anything in server logs that are relevant. There is no entries to state i started playback of a local file it seems. I see a line in the Activity at the top bar Quick actions of the admin ui and under Activity section. It just goes away, as if it stopped playback, when it does the buffering circle.

Everything is set to original play back, no transcode.

The same video plays with out issue with Infuse.

Dose it work any better when you change Original Playback to Streaming?

What setting do you mean?

I see a new setting i had not seen before "Original Quality Delivery" set to Direct.

Along with the normal "Home Streaming" setting that i have server side set to Original.

Which setting would you like me to try changing?

I can give it a try next time it acts up.

Try changing this one to Streaming the next time you have problems and see if it behaves any differently.

The logs on this look confusing and look like a corrupted file, but I’m not completely sure.

Ok. I'll try that if/when it acts up again.

The video file that had the issues initially (as well as a few others recently) are YouTube downloads.
Either 1080p h264/aac or 4K VP9/Vorbis(or AAC). Downloaded using IDM (Internet Download Manager) or 4K Video Downloader Pro.
I download such videos with those 2 programs from YT or Twitch or various other sites daily.
Only occasionally does this sudden pause and buffering happen on some videos from time to time, and at seemingly random parts of the video.

The file plays fine on PC (MPV or VLC) and in Infuse on Apple TV.

I rebooted things, and played the same file again in Channels and it played fine.
