I am new to the Channels product. I currently have the DVR App and I am curious if there is any advantage to purchasing the standard Channels app? Thank you.
The standard app can work standalone, the DVR app requires a connection to a Channels DVR server.
When working standalone, the Channels app will find any HDHomeRun tuners on your network and interact with them directly.
Other than this difference, the apps are exactly the same. (This is true across all platforms.)
