Really cool seeing all the excitement going on. I wanted to offer a quick perspective. Stay true to delivering the best “TV” viewing experience possible for the AppleTV, leveraging what the AppleTV does well. Make and Keep the app fitting, functioning and behaving like it is a natural extension of the AppleTV into “Live TV and DVR”, sacrifice was doesn’t fit well in the experience. Don’t club it in.
Draw from features and usability lessons that have been learned over the years by the DVR community, but don’t try to become a media hub / plex/ Kodi. Let the AppleTV be what it is and it be that Media Hub. Just really focus on the TV Viewing and DVR functionality for that.
