Still having epg channels mappings just disappear

I add an m3u and them go into channel mapping and manuallly map to epg channels. Most of them I choose "Search all lineups". I just go done adding in a bunch. I did a guide refresh and about half of my mappings are now gone. Do I have to map to a single lineup or is it ok to "search all lineups" when finding a channel?

It says DVR: X-M3U at the top. I did not pick a zip code based lineup at all. Just immediately starting mapping.

That's the correct way of mapping.

Then I'm confused. if I assign a zip code lineup but the channel numbers in my m3u do not match the channel numbers in the lineup and I search and do a mapping. Very often even though the channel id of the channels do not change they revert back to the channel that matches the number in the lineup. For example, channel 13 in the Nashville xfinity lineup is CNN but in my m3u it's a local statio WBKO. I search all lineups and find WBKO. At some point in the future, it will revert and be CNN even tough I didn't change it.

What am I missing? Should I not have a zip code attached and instread search and find all mappings?

Or should I attach multiple lineups to my m3u by zip code?

Yes

ok. I deleted the source and readded it without a zip code based lineup. But it still has matches in there with numbers. No idea what those numbers are from. It says DVR: X-M3U at the top but it still appears to have matches using numbers. I'm sorry for so many questions but this behaves kind of weird.

Domt worry about the numbers on the matches. They are sometimes tied with the gracenote ids.
