Hi there! Some channels take longer to load than others. For example, a channel is loading through TVE or through an HDMI tuner might take a few seconds longer than through HDHomerun. I'd like the option to add a splash screen to a channel as it is loading rather than just the black screen with the timeline buffering at the bottom. This could be a custom image we provide on the server side for each channel, or maybe the channel logo instead of the black screen, or it could be a generic image provided by channels.

If your third party source is taking this long to load its stream, you may want to just consider finding a new third party provider.

I've used Spectrum, Hulu, YouTube and Sling via TVE and all have a few seconds of loading specific channels. I'm not talking a lot of time, maybe 3 to 5 seconds. Magnolia is one that comes to mind that takes longer than others.

Disney, Hulu, Netflix, all have splash screens. When loading a channel on Sling, they have a splash screen for a few seconds and it looks very good. Thought it might be cool to have when a channel is loading.
