Hi, video playback on my MacAir stutters so much that it is unwatchable. My MacAir is a bit old (mid-2011). Is the age of my computer the problem? I used to be able to watch Channels on this MacAir no problem up to a few weeks ago.

Note that I have no problem watching Channels on my iMac, iPhone, and iPad.
Here’s some insight…I can watch on Chrome browser on my old MacAir. Safari is the one that stutters.
I have the same issue. It’s intermittent. I have a 2012 mini. I’ve checked the cpu load on the mini and it’s not high. Not sure what the cause is. All of my connections are wired for max throughput.

Doubt it's the age of the Mac. Recently I've experienced the same problem with a 2017 MacBook Pro w/TouchBar which has 8GB RAM and 256 GB SSD. I started a new thread since this one seems to have died.
