It would be amazing to have options for the subscription fees. I do not use the DVR recording feature, but I do enjoy utilizing the server portion with the channels app on multiple devices. Having to pay $8 a month to use just the server portion was too much for me to continue paying when there are other free options out there that allow recording as well. Perhaps a one time fee to use the server, but monthly to utilize the DVR feature? For now, I'm just going to use nextpvr and dizquetv to generate my playlists and use the lifetime plex option to watch my cable and customized channel collections on the plex DVR.

I have to admit that I do not use the dvr on channels either. I just use it for watching live stuff. It would be nice to pay a cheaper fee just to use the server side and not the dvr portion. But still be able to add different channels and stuff. Just my $0.02.
