Channels DVR Server Feature Requests

Short version:
Is it possible for channels to download missing subtitles automatically. Like opensubtitles.org.

Long version.
I asked my wife what she thought of Channels DVR. Her number 1 complaint is missing subtitles / CC. She notices this mostly with shows recorded from pluto & Philo. Some shows are missing subtitles/ cc. This rarely happens on recordings from HDHR.

PLEX has ability natively to download missing subtitles, it usually works . Does channels have a similar feature that im missing / not seeing?

It does not. The foundation of Channels is HDHomeRun tuners, which almost always have subtitles included. As other sources have been added such as m3u, this has been more of an issue. I don’t think I’ve heard of any plans to implement something like you’re asking for, but it never hurts to ask.
