I originally logged into the DVR software under a different gmail account. Is there a way to switch to a different gmail account for viewing remotely on an apple tv or iphone?

Or unlink from Google and create a Channels login?
I think you can add an email address and set a password in your account preferences
Where do I find account preferences?
Top right of the page, click your avatar, click the gear icon, and then in the Account section it should show your email and let you edit it.
