Switching from YouTube TV to Sling TV

I currently use YouTube TV and Im happy with it... Until I found out that it is going up in price $ 15.00 dollars a month!! ($ 65.00 Total).

Ive been thinking about trying SlingTV but wonder what that will do to the TV shows I have scheduled on the DVR?

Also interested in opinions of those who use SlingTV?

Thanks for the help...

Steve

Sling TV's TVE support is more or less non-existent, you'll get a handful (maybe 10 of the channels). I think only ESPN and a few other channels have TVE support with SlingTV unless something has changed recently.

I have the Sling Blue subscription, and TVE picks up a handful of the channels from it. There are some notable omissions that are flagged as "login not supported", including Hallmark, CNN, Comedy Central, CNN, TBS, TNT and the sports channels. Also, Sling says it carries local channels, but not for me (on Sling or TVE).

I use an HD antenna and HDHomeRun to get my local channels and, between that and TVE, it covers most of what I like to DVR. Anything else I record/watch direct on the Sling app, but Channels at least helps take the load off Sling's miserly 10-hour DVR.

Your best bet is to get the free trail, set it up in Channels and see what you get.

I have Channels already... But if I switch from YouTube TV to Sling or anything else, will I have to go through and reset all the shows that I have set on a "schedule" again?

Thanks

No you don't have to change your passes

Given the abysmal TVE support by Sling, you may also want to look at Philo which has really good support for most of their channels.
