Switching to Apple TV's from Shield's

I'm looking at switching out my 3 Shields to Apple tv's {WAF issue, she's all Apple}. Currently just using one of the shields with an external SSD for the server. With Apple I'll need a NAS or separate computer ?, Just want to verify that the there is no way to use one of the Apple TV 4K {128GB} as a server ?

Correct. You cannot.

Even though support for using the shield as a server has stopped you can still use your current shield server to feed the Apple TV’s. You don’t need a NAS if the shield is still working fine as a server.

The shield seems to lose the connection to the server occasionally if inactive for a few days, I need to restart the server and all is well. Hope my old Dell Thinkpad does better !.

Thanks for the attention

What's a Dell Thinkpad lol?

Dell Thinkpad = old laptop

There is no such thing as a Dell Thinkpad. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Lenovo makes ThinkPad. Dell makes Latitude/XPS/Precsion models of laptops.

That is what @LazarusLong meant by "What's a Dell Thinkpad lol?"
