Synchronize multiple TV’s

Often with football, I have the TV inside and outside playing the same game same channel but inevitably one gets ahead of the other. Because of this I mute one TV because the audio is so desynchronized it creates an awful echo sound effect. Or today, we watch the thanksgiving’s day parade on most TV’s in the house, again same problem.

It would be amazing if when you tune to the same channel that another TV is already playing in the house if it would ask if you wanted to “synchronize them” it kept them synchronized.

Unfortunately there are delays caused by your devices after the Channels DVR app. My Apple TV's process the signal faster than the built in app in my Smart TV's and even AppleTv's that are on wireless are a bit off from the ones I have on ethernet. I have to play the manual sync game with pause/play.

As already stated, additional lag is introduced by network latency and stream processing.

If you truly want to synchronize all your TVs, you need to do what the bars do: feed an HDMI hub/splitter from a single device, and then have the splitter send the signals to the TVs. (Such a setup is beyond most homes, however those with Ethernet throughout may have an easier time: you can send HDMI signals over Ethernet. There are also wireless HDMI extenders.)

The switch to digital domain made our relationship with time quite tenuous.
