Synology client

I have Channels installed on my DS220+ NAS. Recently I’ve had an issue where channels will just stop running, and I have to go in and restart it. Any idea what the problem could be? I have updated Channels several times since this issue started, but it doesn’t help.

I see the DVR seems to killed, usually during the morning guide download.

Maybe the OS is running out of RAM and killing it? Does the Synology show any messages about this around these same times?

If there was a crash we would expect to see crash messages but there's nothing, so it makes me suspect something external is sending a hard kill.

Interesting. I’m getting no messages about RAM (6GB installed), and I have no idea what would be sending the “kill”. No other programs are affected or shut down. Thank you.

Okay I would suggest clicking Guide Database > Maintenance > Delete & Recreate

Ok, the NAS started throwing out an error message stating that it was running out of memory, and that Channels was being stopped. I removed a source that I really didn’t use, and all seems well now. Thanks!
