Hi, I am trying to install the Synology spk on a DS214play but it doesn’t seem to be working. Is this NAS supported? Thanks
That should work. Are you seeing any error messages?
The message that I’m receiving says:
Failed to install “Channels DVR”.
Downloading Channels DVR 2017.01.14.0019 (linux-i686) to
/volume1/@appstore/ChannelsDVR/channels-dvr
I have the trust level set to allow installation from any publisher.
After trying to install, I see Channels DVR in the Package Center and it is Stopped. It will not start running if I try to manual start it. It says “Failed to run the package service. Already running.” However, status shows as “stopped.”
Thanks. It’s trying to download a 32-bit version and we don’t have one at the moment.
What version of DSM are you running?
Trying to check if the CPU in that model is 64-bits or not
Intel Evansport CE5335 (2C/4T Atom (Bonnell) CPU @ 1.6 GHz)
Thanks. I have DSM 6.0.2-8451 Update 8
Looks like we will need to build and publish 32-bit binaries. I will have a chance to look into this next week.
Thank you very much!
I am having the same issue and I have the Synology DS916+ which is a 64bit processor. The file I downloaded to install is ChannelsDVR_1.0.0.spk. The file size is 60.0 KB
If you have a 64-bit cpu then it must be a different issue. Can you provide any error messages from the logs, and check what version of DSM you have installed?
I installed to a different volume and now it installed ok. Thanks for quick response
Thanks!
32-bit builds are now available, so you should be able to install the SPK now.
Thanks, I’ll give it a try later today!
I just downloaded the SPK on the DVR page (ChannelsDVR_1.0.0.spk) but it still shows the that the service is stopped. Should I get 32 bit build somewhere else on the site?
That spk should work. Did you remove it first (if you had attempted to install before a few days ago).
Can you post the error message or logs?
I installed around an hour ago for the first time so I didn’t try uninstalling. The only error I can see is a statement that line 12 cannot execute.
If you could paste the entire message or take a screenshot that would help.
Just got a new error message that states that the service is already running.
