Synology DS423+ Kit

I lucked into a good deal on a DS423+ bundle that I couldn't pass up. I've had my eyes on it for a bit, but finally went for it.

The bundle includes the Synology, 2 Toshiba 10TB N300, 2 WD Blue SN580 1TB NVMe, and Samsung 4GB DDR4 PC4-21300. Everything is new and sealed.

My primary use will be Channels DVR, but I'm positive that will just be the gateway drug. I currently use a 10+ year old iMac for Channels.

Considering that, is there anything I should swap out?

Better NVMe or sell those and grab another N300? Any advice is appreciated!

As a side note, anything specific you wish you'd known when setting yours up for the first time?

Where is this bundle? :grinning:

Ha! From a local small business who went a different direction after buying it. Right place, right time.

Make sure you give Channels R/W permissions for your share mount.
