Do I need atleast a ds220+ or ds220j or 223j work?
I also have a pi 3. That won’t work right?

If I just use the tv anywhere feature, no dvr or anything would a raspberry pi work?
You have to have the dvr subscription in order to use TVE.
A pi4b works great. Channels even has their own custom OS image u can flash to the pi. (recommend use a external hdd/ssd via usb, NOT a sd card.)
pi3 is no good, too old/weak.
U could also go with a Pi5, but there is no custom image for that model, for that just use the normal Linux type setup
Though, with prices of Pi5 + things u need , it is very close to just some very cheap mini pcs u can find on Amazon etc.
