Thank You for the best DVR

It's been relatively quiet here lately.
I hope that means everyones DVR is working as well as my four.
There are some who ask for help and never reply back.
Hopefully that doesn't mean they all went to discord or email.

Just wanted to take this opportunity to thank @tmm1 @maddox @eric for their great product and support!

Why should I praise them? Just because they built amazing software with 3 people. Should they be praised for ensuring software passes the wife test (with flying colors). Should we praise the scrappy upstart for being (usually) responsive in a reasonable time frime, even on sundays. NO! I am not going to praise them.

Should they recieve accolades for helping me record more stuff I will never watch but feel I must record anyway. No!

I am not going to thank them for creating virtual channels, which is by far coolest feature ever invented.

I will also remember to not thank them for channel collections that lets me organize my 1000 tv channels.

So this is why I am not going to praise them. They have set the bar of expectations so incredibly high, constantly delivering near perfection, now anything they do is just "normal".

Praising eric, maddox, tmm1 for being great is like praosing MJ on another slam dunk. You just expect it.

I truly think that's why I don't come to this forum as much anymore. The DVR and app just works. Nothing more to say. I love that I don't have to babysit it.

Another satisfied user (and more importantly, I represent a happy family of users) who is grateful for a solid product, responsive customer support and an involved community. I never regret paying the annual subscription. It is well deserved!

I went from a dreaded multi-hour long process with WMC on win10 to like 5 minutes to reinstall OS and get Channels back up and running.

Absolutely unreal.

Tried all the others Emby/NextPVR/Kodi and the live TV was nowhere near as good as WMC, setup was a learning curve, had to try other codecs, etc. and it was a conundrum that Channels has solved.

Moving away from pcie tuners to HDHRs and Channels has been incredible in every way.

Yup, I haven't been on the forums for some time because everything 'just works' flawlessly. Ditto on the kudos :slight_smile:

TVE integration and flawless HDHomeRun support using the NVIDIA Shield as the server platform have saved me soooo many hours trying to fix/patch/tweak Plex et. al. setups. Channels DVR still wears the crown for top media server app in my book. Wife and kids love it too. Keep up the excellent work.

Probably the best experience I've had as a consumer.

Is there room for improvement....of course. But overall, you can't beat these guys.

P.S. I want it noted I didn't bring up my ongoing wish list item.....even though it's sorely needed. :stuck_out_tongue:

Agreed. Kudos to the ChannelsDVR/ FancyBits team. They mostly hear from us when something isn't going how we want. They 100% deserve to hear the good as well.
