Thank you to the Devs for those Backups!

So yesterday, I opened up Channels on my Shield and tuned to one of my locals where something was already recording and got the pop-up asking if I wanted to watch live or recorded. I hit Back because I was just going to watch a different channel. The second I hit Back, Channels crashed me out to the Android TV home screen.

I hit Channels to restart it and the splash screen comes up for about 2 seconds then immediately crashed again. I try a couple more times with the same results. Hmmmmm....

I switch over to my 2nd Shield and get the same behavior. I go into my bedroom where I have an ONN 4K Pro, same deal. I think, "well, that's strange, must be something with the server".

So I hop on my Synology admin and restart the server, no joy. I restart all the streaming boxes, no joy. I restart the NAS, no joy. Really getting frustrated now!

Did about an hour of Googling & Redditing without finding a definitive solution so I decided to re-install the Channels server, resigning myself that I would be starting from square one .

To my surprise, during re-install it asks me if I would like to load a backup...oh, HELL yeah! I load a backup from 2 days before and all is well!

All this is to say a BIG THANK YOU to the devs for having backups and for making it the default behavior!

Oh, and I should have mentioned that when Channels was crashing on all my streaming boxes, I was still able to open it and play content on my phone and PC. Thought that was pretty weird.
