The more advanced

The more advanced Channels is getting in the pre-release, the more failures I am starting to notice. Inconsistencies with upgrades. Now experiencing movie lockups in the Apple TV App running Synology server based Channels (not docker). I am 30 year technology specialist (MCSE), and I have checked the NAS for any potential issues and none exists. Is it the AppleTV app not keeping up with the pre-releases, or is it Channels updates applied to my Synology? All has been fantastic until approx. a month ago after many pre-release updates. Could be just me, but I have literally checked everything.

What do you mean by "movie lockups"?
I run a few servers on my Synology, both native and docker, and haven't experienced any new issues, but I don't normally use channel clients (iPhone sometimes when remote).

Yes, movies, not LiveTV or streams. Locally stored movie collections.

So you have a problem playing back locally stored movies (recorded by channels or imported)
What does "movie lockup" mean?

Imported, After a time, (maybe 24-36hrs) its best so far that I restart Channels on my Synology, After a few imported movies, watching live tv streams, and switching back and forth every so many hours, later played movies start to "lock-up, hang, stop playing, shows the buffer load icon".

It's not until I restart the Channels service when all returns to normal. I hope that is clear and concise enough.

Thanks

How are you doing this

Do you mean stopping and starting the Channels DVR Synology Package?

I would think the devs want diagnostics when it happens, but not sure if they need it from the client, server, or both.
