Thinking about a partial rebuild - is this even possible?

Sort of a brain dump here, so apologizing in advance.

I've been thinking about a "smart" re-do of my channels setup. Between multiple providers over time, some project dependencies that went nuts, and some guide data weirdness, been thinking it would be nice to clean this up.

The good:

  • Not a big library. Mostly hallmark movies from the Mrs, and a small number of OTA shows. Importing these would be easy.

  • Not too many sources: OTA, Frndly, YTTV, and a few typical customs (ADBTuner, AH4C, FruitDeeplinks)

The bad:

  • Years and years of multiple providers in the db. Obviously don't want to be in a position where I'm rerecording.
  • Channel ranges are all over the place, despite settings. This is mostly a result of building/rebuilding large lane sets in FruitDeepLinks and large json's in ADBTuner. This is the area where i might just pivot and rebuild these, but thinking the bigger clean out might be beneficial, too.

I'm aware that I could just import the db, import recordings, and it may be "good enough," but wondering if there are better ways/gotchas with doing this.

Suggestion Just fix your channel start numbers in your Sources. Before doing this, open the colander and print it for the two or three weeks of data that sows. Series passes should be fine if you don't use channels in them. If you do you will have to fix them. For movies, delete the scheduled recording and schedule it again. I did this about a week ago. It saves all the moving media around and importing.
