Hey you may knock me down for this but I thought I would ask. I am 75 and I am having trouble with a m3u list. What might be easy for someone else is differcult for me. Anyway I have Tivimate and I want to make a list of 3 channels to put into a list and add to Tivimate. I have tried to figure this out on my own but no go. So I am asking it I give the 3 channel names and streaming url. Can someone put this in a m3u list that I can put into Tivimate. If no one’s wants to do it, that’s fine. Thanks
Wgat you ask is possible but requires more information. Where are you sourcing these channels? If it's from your ChannelsDVR, just create a collection of just those 3 channels and then you can use the export feature within copy m3u from the drop down menu next to the channel collection.
If you are sourcing it from somewhere else, then you would need to share a lot more information. Is the source and the TiviMate on the same network, does it use tailscale to connect, is it an IPTV source that has the xtream code to access (which isn't really discussed here).
I'm off to bed and traveling tomorrow so will not be very responsive but shoot me an IM and I'll see if I can help you out.
These 3 channels are all free channels located on the internet. I used a HLS sniffer to get the stream information. Other than the name of the channel stream info, what would you need.
Hmm. Are you using Channels DVR at all?
Assuming you are using Channels DVR.
If you sniffed an m3u8 for each then make a Custom Channel,Nickname whatever,mpeg-ts,Source type Text.
The actual text will be the EXTM3U header, and then the EXTINF and http pair for each m3u8.
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1 channel-id="Stream1",Stream1
http://stream info here*
.
Then in the Source copy the m3u, you may have to print it out then type it in manually into TvivMate
No. Just thought someone in here could do this.
