so my ts4k just updated itself in the middle of us watching something, and now the video playback in channels is so choppy it's basically unwatchable. not only in channels but all video apps. good times.
has anyone seen anything like this and is there a way to fix it, or did tivo basically just brick my device?
Have u tried power cycling it?
Mine whent haywire like that while back, laggy in all app, and a killing the power to it for a few minutes then turning it back on fixed it.
As for channels, try switching the hardware decoding to software maybe.
tried all of the above. in the middle of a factory reset now.
factory reset seems to have worked. awesome update, though...forced update while in the middle of watching something that then requires a factory reset to actually work. this pretty much kills any chance of me giving this to my mom to use as a defacto cable box...
