I have 2 Channels servers, each at a different location/network and I would like to be able to toggle between them.
Example: When I am in one location, I may want to connect to Channels at that location on that network, but I also want to be able to connect to my other server at another location/network.
Is there a way in the Apple TV app to easily toggle between servers/locations? In my limited attempts, the app seems to connect to the server on the local network. Any suggestions?
In the app, go to the Settings. At the top, where it says "Channels Plus Connected to …", select that, and it will present you a menu to connect to a different server.
Thanks, and I have tried that, but the problem is that it always brings me to the Channels DVR on my local network.
I am at home with a Channels DVR on my local network, BUT I want to connect to my other Channels DVR on another location/network.
Even if I select Away From Home, and to to the go.channelsdvr.net and enter the Code, it connects me to my local DVR, and does not give me the option to connect to a remote network DVR.
Only one DVR on your account can have remote access enabled.
If you need to access multiple DVRs, in your situation a better solution would be a VPN. Connect to your remote location over the VPN, then access that DVR as if you were locally connected.
(Connections coming from local/private IP addresses are always considered "local" or "at home" as far as the DVR server is concerned.)
