Wondering peoples thoughts on using a 2019 MacBook Pro 16" as a channels DVR server. Look I know it's a laptop and it would not be a long term solution. This would just be a for maybe a year o so until I can get a new Mac mini. My question is since it is an Intel based Mac, is it still a viable solution for CDVR? It will have Tahoe on it and only be used for CDVR. I will probably connect a couple HDMI capture devices unless I can figure out how to get all my channels in to the guide some other way.
Side note, YouTubeTV and DirecTV stream for primary sources.
