On the latest version of the tvOS app, one of my 4 Apple TV's currently has a frozen top shelf. The information displayed is old and the only way to resolve it is to reboot the Apple TV. This began happening when I moved to the 4.0 version of the app.
Same issue for me. Reboot provides a temporary fix. I've also noticed that if I move the app from the home row to a folder and then back again, the quick guide on the top shelf will update. This is also just a temporary fix. I've deleted the app and re-installed it but it's still happening.
Please go to the App Store and install the latest update
I installed the latest update yesterday and it hasn't happened yet. I'll keep a watch for it, but hopefully the latest update has resolved this. Thanks!
