Top shelf no longer working after latest update

Is this a known issue – or is there a method to get it working again? (Already tried closing out of app, a restart and moving app from top position and back.)

Try to go to the Settings tab and “click” on your HDHomeRun. That sometimes will reset it.

Unfortunately, that didn’t help either. Never had this issue until the latest update. I often just choose from the top shelf, so am hoping there is something else that will get it working again.

Actually just checked my other Apple TV and am having the same issue after the latest update. Appears to be an issue with the update potentially. Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks for reporting- it does sound like something broke in this update, however it is not affecting everyone. My top shelf still works…

Can you try clicking “Add Tuner Manually” on Settings and entering the ip of your HDHomeRun? You can see the ip on the screen before you hit the button. This will basically “save” your HDHomeRun for easier discovery by the Top Shelf.

Just tested across two ATVs on both release and latest beta and top shelf working in all combinations.

I manually added IP as suggested but it didn’t fix the issue. I then reset the Apple TV (menu+home) still no change. I open channels app added the IP address again, still no change.

Didn’t work for me either.

Same problem here for me on two separate AppleTV’s. Tried the recommendations as well as deleting/re-installing (and re-setting up) the Channels App without any success – Top Shelf still not working

We are testing a fix for this issue and plan to release 1.5.5 to the App Store as soon as it is confirmed.

Same. Top shelf is not working on either of my 2 appletvs with the latest update. I love that feature and I’m looking forward to getting the fix.

We’re having a hard time tracking this down… It’s not happening on any of my Apple TVs.

Mine wasn’t working, till I changed the EPG to SiliconDust, hope this helps

We have indeed tracked this down to an issue isolated to users on Gracenote EPG. A fix has been confirmed and we are waiting on Apple review to release 1.5.5 to the App Store.

Top Shelf is working again in v1.5.5, which is now available on the App Store.
