Can I control the authority to delete trash on my personal media added to Channels DVR?
I noticed that once media is placed in trash and trash is emptied... it also deletes the media file on my hard drive. I share my files with other apps like Plex and if someone else deletes by mistake or intentional that file(s) is gone forever. Plex gives the administrator the right to "allow media deletion" or not.... I do like the idea of using Channels DVR for all of my media but not at the risk of deletion. Please advise as any Help will be surely appreciated! Steve
You can always turn of deletion of all media in the webui settings and have 1 Clent that can delete ... like your phone.
As stated, you can set deletion settings on the server to propagate to the clients. Also, you can enable deletion separately for DVR content recorded by Channels and your imported content.
(I currently enable deletion for DVR content, but disable it for imported content.)

I wish I could get Channels to delete .strmlnk files automatically 
EDIT: Actually, I stand corrected. Channels is deleting Stream Links automatically! Not sure when that was added, but happy to see it working.
