Hey guys.

I have setup everything. Just have a couple of Q

  1. With remote access is it possible use the app (eg Apple TV) to access the tuner instead of the web and
  2. In the xml file (I am using a custom Australia one) is it possible for me to add a IP tv link of my own.
  3. When I am using the DVR app on the Apple TV to view what's airing now, is the stream going via my server or directly from the HDHomeRun tuner

  1. Yes, you can use the DVR's remote capabilities to stream from your tuner to your remote client.
  2. Not natively. There are some hacks/workarounds using a pseudo-proxy to emulate an HDHR tuner to serve IPTV links, but there is no official support for this.
  3. It is configurable. By default, the client will stream directly from the tuner, bypassing the DVR server. If you enable "Tuner Sharing" in the client, then streams will pass through the DVR server first. Remote connections always go through the DVR.

  1. In this case how do I map the remote app on the Apple TV to my server
  2. I am comfy with that. If you have a link great, otherwise ill search through the forums

From the support article:

From within the Channels app, you’ll need use the Connect to Channels function and choose the Away from Home option. Follow the instructions and it will authenticate you and connect to your home over a secure connections.
