Trimming guide to favorites only

Is there any way to trim the guide so that it only uses the channels I marked as favorites on the HDHR? Even though I set the guide's default view to "favorites" already, I never want to see/show/know about any of the other channels because they're not in my favorites.

The net result is the guide database is smaller and it reduces the chance of an accidental recording on the wrong channel.

The analogous example for my (now replaced) WMC setup is I used EPG123 to limit the guide data and WMC was only presented with the channels I selected.

this is a per client option, so in the client app;
settings - manage sources - select source - sync favorites/hidden - import from source - import
settings - general - live tv - quick guide & channel surfing set to favorites
you can set the server to dictate the quick guide & channel surfing, but each client must import the favorites from hdhr's

On the hdhomerun web interface you can hide channels that are not favorites
