Tuner Network Problems - solution if you have Sonos

This community is great and I want to give back. I've been struggling for months with intermittently unreliable signals from my HDHomeRun 4K tuner as well as other network issues but finally found the issue: DO NOT USE ETHERNET WIRED CONNECTIONS FOR YOUR SONOS SPEAKERS
As I understand it, the reason has to do with Sonos creating a sub-network (Sonos Net) if you have any speakers (or Connects, Amps, Ports, etc) using an ethernet wired connection. If there are multiple wired Sonos devices this problem gets much worse. Bottom line is to keep all your Sonos on wi-fi if you can, or if you must have one Sonos wired keep it to just one. I'm not smart enough to explain the details but trust me on this.

Glad you got it working better in your home, but success via this approach will depend on your specific router configuration and other variables. FWIW, I have a 9 zone Sonos home, only two speakers are using WiFi and the rest are using Ethernet, and I've been using an HDHomeRun 4K tuner for years now without any network issues at all. BTW, technically speaking SonosNet isn't a "subnet" as much as it's a 2.4 Ghz mesh WiFi network of its own.

Thanks for the additional info. So far, keeping my many Sonos devices on wi-fi (five zones/rooms with multiple speakers) has solved the "Tuner Network Problems" on Channels. I have found many references to similar network issues on the Sonos forums as well.

As I understand it, a wired Sonos product will broadcast a dedicated Sonos-only 2.4 GHz mesh wifi network for use by your other Sonos devices. Having multiple wired Sonos devices means multiple of these additional mesh networks, which appeared to be conflicting with my network. Hence the recommendation to keep wired Sonos devices to just one if possible. Sonos itself is now recommending wi-fi over wired connections, though that might be focused on their newer devices (some of mine date to 2016 or earlier, though all work on the S2 app).

I've been thinking of assigning static IP addresses to all my Sonos devices to provide added assurance for reboots etc., but been too lazy to go through that exercise given the many devices I have. That may also allow for multiple wired Sonos units, though at this point I won't take that chance. I would welcome any feedback on assigning static IP addresses to Sonos devices.

FWIW, any wired device has a setting in the Sonos app that allows you to disable WiFi, to avoid any such conflict:
