Tuner priority issue

I have my local provider TVE source set as the highest priority, and I have the E+ Fox Sports docker container set as lowest priority.

I consistently see the scheduler set up recordings for NASCAR races on FS1 TVE in advance and then the day of the event switch the recording to E+ (because the guide data gets updated then, I assume). So I have to cancel the E+ recording and switch it back to TVE. I only want to use E+ for 4k events so I don't understand why the recording is being changed on the tuners.

All of these channels are favorited and all of them are HD, I must be missing some other priority selection or there's a bug.

Update: I found out what the issue is, the Apple TV client UI has the bug. It does not reflect the actual priority, when I went into the web admin interface I could see that my TVE source was at the bottom and I fixed it there. If you try to adjust priorities within the client it gets all wonky anyway so something's messed up there.

Something to look at for the clients.

If both tve FS1 and e+ FS1 are both favorites in the server settings, it will choose to record the highest channel number of the two. I suggest you unfavorite all the 150 or 200 channels from the e+ source.

You might have missed my update, the bug is in the client.

No, the client and server maintain their own priority lists. On Apple clients, the priority is read from the server upon first launch. Afterwards, any changes made to the priority list in the client are local only to that particular client.

Priority on the client is for tuning for live viewing. To set the priority for recording, you must use the DVR web UI. It has always been this way; there is no bug.

Um, ok I guess. Yet another head scratcher to me as to why you would want it different between server and client.

But I can tell you that if you try to change tuner priorities in the client you're going to see some weird stuff in the UI very quickly.
