Not sure if there's any previous posts on this, once my CableCard was killed by my cable co, they switched to streaming boxes (APpleTV and 'Stream' Android devices. I currently use Google Home to control these devices remotely but it's VERY manual.... Does anyone have experience tuning these things via software ? I Could probably figure out how to get SAGE to generate a code... but not sure how to make the connection.

Android devices generally have a setting to enable ADB - android debug bridge
It allows for automation and control of the android device. There are several projects where people have built on top of this for automated channel tuning: ADBTuner, ah4c, etc
