TV Series: How to Edit Length and Re-record Faulty Episodes?

I have several collections of classic TV series/comedies recorded from a Pluto channel. I typically set the Series Pass to start a few minutes early and stop a few minutes later, so I do not miss anything (Pluto schedules are not always accurate to the minute advertised).

  1. What is a good process to edit/clean-up the lengths later after being recorded, and then place them back in the collection?
  2. If I have the Pass set to record ALL episodes, and I delete one for poor quality (eg. Season 2, Ep 12) will it automatically re-record that episode the next time it comes available in the schedule? Or do I need to manually find it in the schedule and set to Record?

Have you tried marking those beginning and ending segments as commercials? I recall having success with that in the past.

Yes, if you go to the Advanced tab on the pass and enable Re-record deleted episodes

Thanks. I wasn't aware of that setting as it is only available in the Channels browser version of Pass settings, not on my TV Channels app.
