I would love it if we could edit the target directory location for tv shows with passes.
For example, MasterChef on Fox just saves by default to my /tvshows/Masterchef/ directory but it's not then picked up by a scraper as they all list it as MasterChef (US).
it would be incredibly awesome if I could edit this to make it scrape properly.
Thanks for the feedback. This isn’t something we’ll probably implement as your troubles are with third party software, not with Channels. Channels is working as intended.
As a work around, you could try using a symlink for that directory somewhere else with the name you would like it.
symlink would be difficult as it would clash with MasterChef UK, which scrapes as MasterChef and that's the problem.
Which software is scraping?
i have a few kodi boxes all syncing to a mysql db and use scrapers from imdb on those, then i have plex and emby servers too.
kodi (nothing dodgy) for in house stuff and i use plex/emby when travelling which i do a lot because of my job with the US Dept of State.
Okay, I wonder if there's a way to put a nfo or json file in the directory so it knows how to get matched correctly.
well i did have another request in for executing a script on finshing a recording, if i had that then i'd write some scripts to handle moving the files to the right place. but you said you would'nt consider that request too.
i can't be the ony one here who'd like a bit more control over their recordings, i'm not asking for tvheadend type stuff, but some of the basics would be nice.
custom directories is not planned.
some kind of post-processing options are part of our long term plans.
