Hello again! I recently added an HDHomerun cablecard tuner. I planned on using TVe as extra channels. It doesn't seem to work that way though. If the three cablecard tuners are being used, I cannot view any other channels even if they have TVe options. Is there a way to use both types at the same time?
Did you configure a TVE source?
TVE channels won't necessarily work as fallback channels for HDHomeRun Prime channels unless their call signs or channel network names match.
While they will absolutely fallback for recording, as both channels will be eligible for recording since the guide item set to record will appear on both, live viewing won't always unless:
- channel numbers match
- channel callsign/network name match
Ah..Thank you for the reply. I would love to see the option to manually link channels like that. Sounds like the best option (aside from buying another Prime which I might do) is to replace some of the common channels I use with the cablecard with TVe so I'm using a mix of both, and less likely to run out.
