For the TVE channels is there any way to monitor audio volumes and automatically suppress the volume if it spikes up? On the TVE streams a lot of the networks like to turn the volume up when commercials come on and it’s very noticeable.

That is usually done at the client ... my Firetv has Volume Leveler setting.

I noticed that if I have surround sound set to 'On' on my Shield (the client, in the Channels settings), but I am using a Stereo playback device (in my case, 2.1 sound bar), then the shows are quiet, but the commercials are loud. Might be worth checking. My guess is that the commercials are actually 2 channel audio, but the shows are 5.1.
